Exactly so, Cottoned on followed from an earlier term "cottoned to" which meant "to become attached", these came from the British textile industry.

I'm from an IT background, accuracy of phrasing is of paramount importance when dealing with someone as pedantic as I am. If something can be misconstrued I will make a point of doing so. There is no such thing as "near enough" when it comes to developing IT systems, bugs can have catastrophic results. Intermittent ones are the worst.

Mudhenge greets a very striking young Damsel!

Being pedantic, something that may surprise you (not), technically a henge is a banked circular or oval enclosure, at Stonehenge the enclosure was built first and surrounds the standing stones. Usually, simple standing stones (or groups, such as those in my pic above) are referred to as Menhirs. Still, I'm fine with Mudhenge. I think the damsel will become well acquainted with the mud and stones.
