Saturday 1, Damsel #1 looks like she may have splatted into the mud from a bit of a height, judging from the mud-spatter pattern behind her, and Sat 1 Damsel #4 is going to need some real help real soon; I don't think she'll be able to pull herself out from that depth on her own.

I'd say that was water seeping out of the ground behind her if it's a but higher, I've seen similar in areas of sandy soil. To me it looks as though she has walked into a slight depression and found it has an unexpectedly soft bottom.
