Three athletic women in competition swimsuits are twerking butt deep in a patch of brown jungle quicksand (quicksand illustrated above) for exercise. They alternate between fast and slow ass shaking. After a while, they put their hands on safe soil and proceed to shake their rumps, first quickly then slowly and then to a quick burst of rapid twerking.

Based on each woman's build and the quicksand's thickness and adhesion levels, the time taken for them to escape is detailed below.

Facts:
Deliberate movements like twerking can actually help by agitating the mixture without accelerating descent—in fact, they can loosen the grip by introducing shear and reducing the effective viscosity around the trapped areas. We're dealing with a thixotropic, non-Newtonian fluid here (based on real quicksand properties, but amped up for jungle mud): it thickens when still but liquefies under vibration or stress. The brown jungle quicksand in the image looks dense and clay-heavy, with high adhesion (sticky, clings to skin and fabric) and thickness (viscosity around 500-2000 Pa·s when undisturbed, similar to thick mud or peanut butter, but drops to 10-100 Pa·s with agitation). It's not the sandy variety; this is more like a viscous bog, so extraction relies on breaking suction and leveraging body strength.

The three women are all athletic with exaggerated hourglass builds—toned arms, abs, and especially powerful glutes/quads for generating twerk force, but their curvy hips and thighs mean more surface area in contact with the mud, increasing drag. Their builds are summarised here:

Woman A (climbing ladder pose, smiling face): Slightly leaner athletic build (estimated 5'8", 150 lbs, with defined but not overly bulky muscles). Her narrower hips (relative to the others) mean less adhesion surface, but she might tire faster from less raw power in her glutes.

Woman B (sitting on edge pose): Curviest of the trio (5'9", 160 lbs, with thicker thighs and wider hips). More mass to pull out, higher adhesion due to broader contact area, but her build suggests superior glute strength for powerful shakes.

Woman C (ponytail standing pose): Balanced muscular build (5'7", 155 lbs, ponytail for zero hair interference). Strong legs and core, but her pose hints at flexibility, aiding in controlled movements.

They're starting butt-deep (about 2 feet or 60 cm submerged, from mid-thigh up), in swimsuits that are slick but can get mud-clogged. The twerking alternates fast (high-frequency shakes, ~2-3 Hz, liquefying the mud quickly) and slow (lower frequency, ~1 Hz, building momentum without re-thickening). After ~5 minutes of this (the "after a while" phase), they place hands on safe soil for leverage (distributing weight, adding upper-body pull ~200-300 N force each). Then the final sequence: quick shakes (agitate), slow (consolidate lift), rapid burst (explosive push, like a 10-second sprint at 4 Hz).

The above sequence factors in-
Build impact: More muscle = better force generation (twerk thrust ~100-200 N per cycle, based on athletic hip thrusts). Curvier builds face 20-30% more drag due to surface area.
Quicksand thickness/adhesion: High (drag force ~500-1000 N to start, dropping 50-70% with agitation). Each twerk cycle reduces effective depth by 2-5 cm as mud liquefies and they inch up.

Twerking slows any residual sinking to safe levels and the group dynamic means they can assist each other slightly (e.g., vibrations propagate).

A step-by-step extraction timeline for the trio is written here-
Initial alternating twerk phase (5 minutes): Fast shakes liquefy the mud around their booties, reducing viscosity by ~60%; slow shakes prevent re-settling. They rise 10-15 cm collectively, but adhesion holds them back. No hands yet, so mostly lower-body work.
Hands on soil + sequenced shakes (additional 3-7 minutes): Leverage adds pull. Quick shakes loosen grip further (20 cm rise), slow builds stability, rapid burst overcomes final suction (full extrication).

Conclusion:
Woman A: 9 minutes. Leaner build means less drag, quicker progress despite moderate power.
Woman B: 12 minutes. Extra curves add adhesion, but her glute strength compensates in the burst phase.
Woman C: 10 minutes. Balanced build optimizes efficiency.

On average, 10-11 minutes for the group to fully extricate their booties and crawl out, emerging muddy but triumphant. If the quicksand were less adhesive (e.g., sandier), it'd shave 2-3 minutes; thicker mud could add 5.

I have a dream.

And that is for women dressed in bikinis twerking in quicksand/mud!
