I can't speak for that. Assisted, maybe? It was a 100lb weight, and it's hard to imagine someone hauling that thing from where they found his car all the way out to where they found him by themselves. But the human mind can lose all rationality when someone hits rock bottom. We just don't know. It could be a cover, it could be legitimate. That's for a professional getting paid a shit load more than me gets to figure out.

Actually, I used to be a professional who figured stuff like that out! It wouldn't take all that much sleuthing to arrive at a fairly high probability answer however, just look for a second set of footprints in the mud where they were carrying the kettle ball together.
