I'm still rather circumspect regarding the application of Artificial Intelligence to QS production.
So while I'm taking the mantle of using it to upscale select parts of the MPV/QSV catalog, I'm still in a 'wait and see' mode with how things will shake out in terms of community consumption.
I suspect that the 'little heads' will end up sorting things out in the end; meaning that some AI fans will end up disappointed in the end, while other may find themselves unexpected converts. In any case, I'm glad that we had the opportunities that we had, before piracy limited our capacity.
It's possible that folks may find themselves with funding, time and motivation to go out and do something real, but the shear physical effort required (unique to the genre btw) will keep it from happening, considering the lack of financial reward/motivation.

Re: The Future of QS Productions
There are some pros and cons when it comes to AI as the future for our Quicksand fetish.
One of the potential advantages that occurs to me is not being tied to a specific, physical location where deep mud is present and that is also private enough to allow filming to take place out of the public eye. Please note that when I say this I'm in no way denigrating or playing down the sheer hard work and logistical nightmares that our video producers have coped with over the years. All due praise, kudos and prestige to them.
But how about this?
Recently I went to see The Odyssey and enjoyed it very much. Location shoots took place in Italy, Greece, Morocco, Iceland, Malta and Scotland. Ok, we're talking big movie mega money. But I'm just one guy with a laptop, a mouse and an AI program. Yet I've been able to produce reasonable QS still images of damsels in quicksand peril in almost any kind of environment - without the need to leave my home.
As AI matures and the videos it generates become more realistic it shouldn't too great a stretch to imagine these being stitched seamlessly together to form a continuous QS storyline lasting several minutes or even tens of minutes. These can literally be located anywhere we can imagine. This opens up more possibilities than a photoshoot or a filming session in riverside mud or a specially dug mud pit.
Right now I'm undecided about making the move from still images into moving ones, but the offerings from Sekani and ViridianQS point the way. Well, at least in my opinion. That my 50 cents worth, which amounts to 38 pence over here.
Thanks,
Redjak.

I also appreciate the effort put in by all the producers—both active and inactive—in creating such realistic sets or taking on the task of scouting locations for these videos; especially Fred from Studio588, who has his sets ready for every season, year after year.
I would also like to mention Jim Weathers from Bondage Cafe; although his site focuses primarily on bondage, he gave us several quicksand gems—such as the white synthetic sand pit or the "Tiki Tiki" set—mostly featuring Christina Carter as the "O-Girl." I recall a interview that Jim conducted with Christina, where he asked her about her favorite scene; she specifically cited the quicksand scene using granulated cork. Jim then mentioned that he enjoys creating these scenes, both he and the models have fun, and the videos sell very well, but the following day involves cleaning up the entire set, including emptying the pit, a task Jim implies is exhausting.
This helps me understand why so many producers step away; the sheer effort involved, before, during, and after creating the stage and the scene, becomes increasingly exhausting over time.

I also agree qith your comments and appreciation of the work that goes on to meet the demands of our "Interests " Christina Carter is definitely one of thev top models, and not just her quicksand movies. By the way I do' like your new avatar and would be interested to know who the model is and also the scene ?

Re: The Future of QS Productions
With the as discussed issues of major producers retiring, piracy cutting into bottom lines, I'd also add, dare I say, more than a little bit of fatigue.
When I first discovered this community way back when you were lucky if Producers could bring to market one scene a month, and that was in the off season. Nowadays we're getting new media on a weekly, sometimes daily basis, and everything's shot from four camera angles in 4k with production values that rival low budget movies.
Basically I kinda feel the community has become a victim of it's own success. By getting more and better we appreciate it less.
The Golden Age is definitely coming to an end. What will replace it I don't know. Maybe (hopefully) when we find ourselves lacking good material again a new generation of producers will pick up where the old producers left off. AI.....meh. It's got a loooong way to go before it can rival our guys and gals. Best I've seen it do is thirty second plop and sinks that looked about as realistic as the monsters in a "B" rated horror movie (yea Sharktopus, I'm looking at you).
I'm sad to see it go, but honored and privileged to have been here to experience it. I don't know where we're going, or why we're in this handbasket, but it's been a hell of a ride.

Hi Herzeleid! As I mentioned at the beginning of the post, my avatar image comes from a video generated using Google’s AI, Flow; it features a character of my own creation. Here is the video: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1YeUsEi6DGzLHqV0SXXZSKbf9S4GXAVIj/view?usp=drive_link Just a heads-up that the video is in Spanish.
I’m also including a couple that I generated using Gemini; I hope you like these:

Re: The Future of QS Productions
Dear Graying Fans of Quicksand Videos:
I am optimistic that we will continue to see really nice quicksand videos here and there. Might be AI. And soon, we may all be putting together our own quicksand videos, as the process becomes easier for amateurs, etc. And there are always waterproof robots of whatever sex, and what happened to virtual reality???
But we have had something of a Golden Age in this digital era.
Since several outstanding producers have been mentioned, I thought I would throw in two more:
Kaol, whose Kaol's Sinking Hole site was a great source of all kinds of material, and he made several videos which I believe are still available from him -- I enjoyed them.
Going back a little further, back in the Stone Age, Chuck Lang was cranking out videos (on cassettes no less) and providing still photos as well. I especially enjoyed the model he called "Sandy". She looked great in quicksand.
Enough nostalgia for one night. Thanks to all of the makers of photos and videos and AI.
Idea for AI folks -- we could use a single place where those of us with some cash on hand can purchase AI videos that interest us. There have been some that have caught my eye. I think having a central online location where such scenes could be purchased would help monetize the next generation of quicksand scenes.

Re: The Future of QS Productions
I can only address this topic from my own point of view. First, I do not see AI as all that much of a threat, at least for a few years. There are so many things I have yet to see it do, including buyable character interaction and voices that sound like real people. I will continue releasing new scenes for at least another year and a half (assuming my health holds) as I have that much material already filmed and most of it edited. I expect my production will fall off but that is because I am getting old, not anything to do with AI. In the meantime, perhaps some new people will come along to try their hnd with real mud nd live performers. A few hve done that and I hope there will be more.
Studio 588 currently offers more than 2200 different HD and QD quicksand videos and has supported production of well over 2400 video scenes and other projects by 20 different producers. Info may be found at:

It's nice to know that you still have more scenes to release for the forseeable future. As you knpw I've been a regular customer for a while now, and always look forward to your new releases, especially if they involve my " favourite " models, and I will continue to do so. I guess what I'm saying in a roundabout way is how much I, and I guess others appreciate all your work, Fred.
