Me and my (now ex) girlfriend ended on a rather bad note the other day, and as revenge for "breaking her heart" has decided to tell everyone at work and everyone we know about the quicksand and my other fetish.

Yea, that's really low.

I'm more angry that she would stoop to that level, and call me a cheater (when the most I did is chat with an ex who is still on good terms), than I am embarrassed that people know now.

It's always nice to know that no matter what she tells people, and what those people think of me, I have a place like this where it's pretty much expected that you like mud.

But either way, it's still outta the bag now, and Idunno what to do, or how to deal with it.

Move forward... If someone mentions your fetish you can ignore it, deny it and claim your ex is making it up, or you can say ... "want to try it?" I don't think it's the end of the world and I suggest you continue to live your life the way you want.

Compared to other fetishes out there, quicksand and mud is pretty darned tame, truth be told...

What she did was low, no question about that. But, consider this: I've found the people who were your real friends prior to finding out about your fetishes will still be your friends. My younger brother, who's a deacon in his church, found out about my fetishes. You know what his reaction was? He said. "You're a guy. You're normal."

We don't talk about it, but at least he's not going to hold it against me.

I've always maintained that one's own fetish always seems more intense than somebody else's and it can seem more embarrassing than somebody else's. Whereas when you think about somebody else's, you probably don't care much.
