I bought those with the express purpose of cattail-crawling in cold weather. They are from Mills Fleet Farm. They are very comfortable and highly practical. But I never knew that anyone would love them just for their own rubbery selves until I mentioned using the boots for bog-hunting on Deep Sinking and the wader fans spoke out!

I still have the waders. I've altered my cold-weather gear to accommodate deeper sinking than they can but using them in another shoot someday isn't out of the question. They're in great shape.

Well, "Duckweed Wetsuit" happened when a new site turned out to be mudless, and the Candlelight Wetlook series was done in the very dead of winter...I was feeling, I guess, unproductive and ready to experiment with something new. It was kinda fun but my heart is really in the mudpit.

There was one other wetlook experiment that didn't make it into the professional wetlook market because I put the dress on, got into the tub, and started doing the splashing thing when I suddenly realized that somebody who wasn't me hadn't had a good washing-down in quite a long time...now the clip's called "Washing The Dog."

Nope. I definitely I wasn't one of those. Can assure you, 100%, that I never even got close to getting into that crowd.

Nope, I won't be cutting my hair off anytime soon, and the car is a little Saturn, but in the summer it's often a bicycle.

I didn't go with skimpwear because it honestly wasn't all THAT warm that day. You can see that the cattails are still mighty brown.

Got to admit, though, that by the time I actually filmed this, I already knew all that terrain...because I actually got to know it when there was ice on it. And later that year, some of it lost that water on top and developed into some pretty awesome and deep peaty mudpits. Some of that footage ended up on the video "Peat Bogging", which is on UMD too right now, but for the convenience of the quicksandy customer who doesn't want to mess with UMD but is happily a member of Club MPV...it'll be going there soon too.

You seem to have a knack (and I know from your descriptions that it is from much searching, elimination, and effort) for finding the true authentic swamp locations - you know, the kind that you would want to see some melodramatic movie filmed in - like Vera Miles or Lois Nettleton. Then you are real and film yourself sinking to various depths in these locales. The amount of material you share on this site for free is really amazing. I have posted it before, but thanks for all that you share on the various sites - it is a genuine pleasure to see a real quicksand girl, as you would say.
