I do not question it, keep it in perspective but had a horrible experience in 1985 during a divorce. My first wife was clearly a WAM enthusiast of the first order - but nothing existed back then. She had other demons in her life that were totally destructive, hence divorce and, at the advice of her lawyer (she lost anyway), she wrote up in excruciating legal detail (cold language) quicksand fetish stories. It was horrible, I saw in my lawyers office reading her documentation and the bottom crashed out of my life. I also had to go through the entire experience alone as I had no guarantee that anything would be opened up in court. Awful.

This experience still is with me to this day and I encourage common sense in whom you share it with. My current wife asked me about my fantasies, took me six months to open up and, even now, I find it painful.

Sorry to hear that.
I keep thinking back to my very first girlfriend at 15. I just exploded sexually from having no interest in either sex to loving girls and developing fetishes rather quickly. I had some light bondage stuff going on with my first girlfriend. We used to tie each other up and it was kind of exhilarating.

Problem was we had a messy break up a year later. Even now (I'm 25) I worry about her telling other people. Though I don't know any of her new friends and I don't associate with anyone else from that time of my life... it still hangs over me. I'm just glad she doesn't drink or take drugs, or anything that gets her tongue loose!

You should always be careful. And right now I don't feel that I want my current girlfriend (of 7 years) being mixed in with my quicksand stuff. She knows my other fetishes and we have a laugh with those. But quicksand just seems a lot more personal. She wouldn't hate me for it. She's supremely open minded.

I cant say I have questioned my fascination with this subject matter since I was in my early teens and just learning/exploring the wonders of growing up. I thought then that anything was "abnormal" back then, and was afraid to say anything to ANYONE about it. Flash forward 18 years, and I have stopped questioning it, and wholly embraced it. I have brought this fetish up to a few GFs over the years and, believe it or not, most of them have happily obliged to it. Not only that I think I made a few converts! Deep mud/Quicksand is not my only vice when it come to fetishes, BDSM being the other one  . I know thats a LARGE subject, with many different aspects, and this is not the place to get into that either.

All I can say, is that if you dont ask, you will never know about a partners willingness to try something new!

I am 55, way pre-internet. I got married without telling my wife (or anyone else) about my fetish interest. It was not until lately that I fessed up - and, while she does not want to sink, we enjoy videos yogether - you never know.

Theres no reason to question it. I love sinking both in RP and IRL and I always will. My biggest fear is that one day I'll finally get my wish and submerge into the thickest and deepest clay mire i could find while still standing straight up, and I'll be disappointed that it was no where nearly as good as it was in my thoughts all these years.

I discovered my fetish when I watched the Xena Warrior Princess quicksand scene with Xena and Callisto fall from a hill into the quicksand, I can remember I watched that with my father, twinbrother and older brother.
I can also remember that my older brother said: If the head got under the sand. you'll die instantly because your lungs can't get oxigen.
I can remember that my twinbrother discovered my fetish when we watched a dutch series "Goed tijden, slechte tijden" in english: Good times, bad times.
In that series there was a scene that a man had a conflict with this father and in the evening he walked near a waterfall and stepped into quicksand, I was full-minded about that scene and so my twinbrother discovered my fetish.
My quicksand/tar/swamp bubbling fetish (just like my selfmade swamp and quicksand movie with "The Movies") came from a computer game "Red Faction" There was a level called: Geothermal plant.
In that game there is was fence and behind that you saw a bath full of lava, and you heard some nice bubbling sounds :D , I also discoverd my bubbling fetish in the movie "Cutthroat Island".
About that movie I can remember that I was upstairs in our previous home, we moved house 5 years ago and my twinbrother ran up the stairs and shouts: There is a quicksand scene Scarol, come down quick! I asked: Is it beautifull?
He said: Yes! You hear the bubbling sounds very good! I went downstairs, sit on the sofa and watched with the whole family, then I turned
My twinbrother watched me how I turned  and after watching that quicksand scene I had to wait for another time when the movie came on television to rec the movie, (I didn't had internet that time)
I thought: Am I the only one who has this fetish? When I saw photo's from Duncan of Mina and Skylar I thought: HAH! Another one! Then I joined deepsinking.org, but after a few months I had conflicts with Foster Blake and Jimmy Thicket and discovered this forum. MY home of fetish!

This is my story.

I had a fiance' that your story reminds me of. When we were getting together, we each told the other a list of things to avoid. (pet peeves, etc) When we broke up, she went through my list in order and did it twice. It's funny, but with it being that obvious, I actually took no offense at all to her following the list. When she finished, I told her simply, "I no longer value your opinion"

Actually I tend to worry more about being corrupted into new fetishes that I've never seen until I see them and get corrupted.
I smile because I know somthing that she doesn't......

No, I don't question my quicksand fetish, or have any hang-ups about it. To me, it is a harmless fantasy world I go to every once in a while, that does not have an effect on my life, and normal things like going to work etc. I will say that to me, thinking about a damsel stumbling into a thick, quivering, farting bog is the most erotic fantasy there is, and I actually really enjoy it.
