Probably "Sabrina the teenage witch" (live action series). That was, like, SO obviously dry sand.

Still, I have to give points for the "pound of quicksand in my underwear" line...

PM2K - yeah, that was a good line. Obviously, she was much more wet and muddy in that kitchen scene than the dry quicksand would have warranted. I would have like to have seen how she got that way rather than the original scene.

Re: Your LEAST favourite quicksand scene?
Mine isn't actually anywhere near the worst, but as far as it being the ultimate tease I must say it has become one of my least favorite - the AT&T "survivor" commercial, where at the end the blonde female contestant sinks to about nose level, then the screen goes black... So close, so very close, and since submersion was heavily implied why not be brazen and go for it??? Would have been a memorable commercial even for the non-quicksand-oriented.
Quality-wise, I'd have to agree that the Acid Eaters scene is dreadful.

I believe my least favourite quicksand scene isn't shooted yet.

Re: Your LEAST favourite quicksand scene?
Not a bad idea for a thread. I can say specifically what my least favorite scenes are, which are in line with what everyone's said already. But my least favorite scenes are just the ones where Hollywood Producers mess up. Where the Quicksand pit is too watery. Or horrible angles. Or the scene is just extremely fast. I've seen some scenes that are just a joke. You expect me to believe that an actress falling in a 2 foot puddle of water is in quicksand? Now maybe sometimes these shows or soap operas are on a limited budget or time constraint. So I can't really blame them too much for trying. I guess they just don't really know how to bring a quicksand scene to life (sort of speak)
Now what really gets me going is when these directors and studios film a quicksand scene and then end up cutting it for the final print lol. So there are scenes out there that will never ever get to see cause for some reason they just cut it lol. I think the messengers is a fine example. I saw a couple behind the scene scenes on youtube where the main character herself was neck deep in the mud/quicksand. Then in the final movie, only ghost were coming in/out of the mud and the killer I think collapsed in the mud in the end. What happened? That would've made a great scene in my opinion. Oh well.

Someone mentioned one of the worst scenes was in "Princess Bride" ...It could have been a better scene, I agree. But in the movies defense... it was called "lightning sand" . You couldn't call it lightning sand and expect to go down slow.
Sorry, I just couldn't help it, I have a soft spot for that movie.
