Here's a fun question for everyone.
In a tv show or movie which would you say is the most funniest quicksand scene you've seen?
This could include what someone inavertantly said either trying to rescue someone or by the person actually in the quicksand, or the way it was filmed or the way someone was recsued. This could have several possibilities.
Fun question...

Hands down, "The Hallelujah Trail." A whole wagon train of beer barrels sinks out of site, presided over by a bunch of veteran character actors and Brian Keith from the old TV show "Family Affair." No women sinking, and the quicksand is just floating cork on water - pretty sick. But it is an extended and comic scene. The only other close comedy scene I can think of is Cleavon Little in "Blazing Saddles."

I haven't seen a lot of comical quicksand scenes, but, of the ones I've seen, the one from Blazing Saddles was the funniest. I love that line, "Is it just me, or is the world getting taller?"

This came to me from The Dukes of Hazzard in the episode Coy Meets Girl. As Coy is reaching for the gal sinking the ballader comments "I hope he handles this better than the fight."
Fun comment made in passing.

Re: Fun question...
Luceille Ball sank in quicksand with Jack Benny in an eppisode of "ILove Lucy" that was filmed in front of a live audiance. You could hear a collective gasp as Lucy lead Jack into the sawdust/ cork floating on water. Everyone laughed as the two of them began a slow sink. I liked this scene for my own reasons; She was wearing a dress and heels. For some reason her intentionally walking into the quicksand and looking down at the surface with surprise was very erotic for me. I was very young at the time but I knew what I liked even then.

I could have written this exact same thing. I remember watching it on Monday night after Gunsmoke and it hit me the same way.
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for 27 years. Thank you.
