One thing I have noticed about the -22, for a lo-observable fighter, when it's in full grunt it is ANYTHING but subtle

For the real heavy metal fans:

B-52 MITO departure, Minot AFB, ND

That's about as heavy as it gets. Like watching winged anvils take flight. 8-)
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for 27 years. Thank you.

Sun Tzu would be pleased.

I think it would be more like removing our debts by removing our debtor if it ever get to a shooting war. I do not think that their J-20 would be very maneuverable longitudily; nor would it be very stable at high speeds- the Rudders are way too small in comparison to the length of the bird. I have confidance that we could come out on top.

Nice, nice, NICE!!! Scramble those BIG BIRDS! Amazing what new technology can do for old.

It was impressive to watch the huge wings on those things slowly straighten out then bow upwards as the BUFFs gained air speed for take off.

Thanks for sharing this!

I'm behind on this thread and have some catching up to do.

In the meanwhile, here's an A-10 video. It's old and of the Cold War Era...

I think the A10 is likely the more fun plane to fly. Speed is nice. Speed is fun. Speed can save your life. However, there comes a point where you're too fast to enjoy the scenery. ;-) There's something to be said for "fly slowly and carry a big gun" ;-)

Holy cats, that brings back memories. That video was ancient when they showed it to us at UPT back in the day.
