I had a question for the producers out of couriousity.
While filming with a model doing a sinking scene has anyone ever had people passing by and ask what was going on?
Or has anyone had spectators happen by to watch out of curiousity?

Most of the filming is done on either private property or remote areas. However we use to get a few train whistles from the passing train going over the trestle on the Mary's River in Chester. And we did get a visit from the land owner at a slurry pond there too.

No. Since the pits at Studio 588 are about dead center within 50 acres of private property, anyone just passing by would be trespassing.

While I was once interrupted as I was about to enter the wooded area surrounding my mudpit last year, to get to the actual mudpit where I filmed my new scenes last year would be SO horrendously nasty, what with the poison sumac trees and the bouncy ground and the thick weeds and the sinkholes, that the possibility of anyone casually walking by, just ambling through the wildlife refuge enjoying nature...then, suddenly seeing me sinking with a camera on a tripod that's wrapped around a tree branch aimed at me...and asking me what I'm doing...is just about zero.

My filming spot of last year is not more than 30 feet from the clearing, where somebody can be standing around casually (although it is still rather weedy there) but that 30 feet to the mudpit really is 30 feet of jungle.

I can't think of anyplace else I've got that would be likely either. People walk on trails but not through marshes themselves!

Yep and he departed thinking we were fishing. You had to be there.

Kristine has been whistled at by river boats a couple of times but that's been about it while in the actual process of shooting. There have been a couple of interesting encounters before and after but it's much easier to talk your way through that when not surrounded by naked, muddy, women.

I rememeber once someone once told me she and a friend of hers were out at a quicksand pit they'd often visited. They weren't filming just having some fun.Just for the fun of it I asked if anyone had stumbled across them in it and they said yes and I asked the craizies thing they'd been asked. She said one person asked them "What time is it?" and walked off. Unfortnatally I lost touch with the person in question.
But that'd be interesting though to film someone's reaction coming across when doing a staged sinking.

I think I would be disappointed to find it was a filming of sinking rather than the real thing. (Gotta be fun to rescue a hot woman from the mud!)

I actually DON'T film my sinkings many more times than I DO film them. There are a lot of reasons for this. I need very warm weather to dress well for the camera as the cold-weather stuff just doesn't cut it visually. If there is light rain out there, I can get in but the camera really shouldn't. The site itself may be camera-hostile, as in, no solid ground to set it on or a branch to hang it on.

Or sometimes, I just plain am in the mood to have the mud all to myself.

However, I get in and out by myself!

Some of my sites are within earshot of trails (and others aren't). But from the trail, you can never actually see a thing. The grass is taller than people are. At one place I had to make sure I was very quiet as the trail was, in fact, maybe only fifty feet from the mud! I filmed "Playtime With Nessie" there so I could be in there quietly for a good long time, but speaking was kind of risky. At one point I stopped filming for five minutes as a couple people were having a conversation while ambling along very slowly on the trail.

The shoots I've helped with, the model has frequently been screaming for help. I would hate to come sprinting off a trail to rescue someone that not only didn't need rescue, but specifically required that I stay back (or better still go away) I'll bet you don't go yelling for help unless you're filming.

Actually, I don't yell for help even when I AM filming unless it's at Studio 588.

Because I film in public parks, if I did, I'd run the risk of somebody believing it! Subdued desperation is the most I can do out there.
