in socks?

I see a lot of posts about sinking naked or in various costumes or in boots. Anyone else like scenes where you or someone else is wearing socks while sinking? Either the sand or mud has sucked your shoes or boots off, or you lost them before you stumbled in.

I like the humiliation of messing up a nice pair of long socks and seeing them slowly disappear out of sight first as I go down. Then there's the extra anxiety caused by losing my shoes and feeling the heavy, wet sand pressing against my sock-clad feet and legs.

I find feet stuff to be irrelevant most of the time in pictures/videos, as they're normally underneath relatively quickly. Walking in warm mud in socks, however, feels awesome.

Hex, right you are about sensation of walking in mud (or struggling in quicksand) in socks. I still like the concept of long socks in my sinking scene. They're visible at the beginning of the scene, and even when out of sight it's the thought of them deep under and the loss of my shoes or boots that works for me.

Bart, thanks for the link. Gum boots don't really work for me. I like wearing things that weren't meant to go in the mud or sand, like I've stumbled in accidentally or been forced or tricked into it. I like scenes with myself or seeing other guys in the predicament, but I have seen some pictures here of ladies in various hosiery that I liked, too.

Every time I have ever done anything with feet and/or footwear and deep mudpits, I've had to approach it differently from the rest of what I do because of that exact problem.

If I ever can find a truly slow mudpit, though, and I do mean thick enough to creeeeeeeeep sloowwwwwwwllyyyyyy up over the ankles to engulf thighs at a snail's pace, I would definitely want to get the fancy footwear back out.

Usually it's been boots but long socks might be nice in a peat bog.

I'd want them white, though. Snowy white. Because peat is dark.

Always had a thing for long stockings and garter belts and stuff. Requires the quicksand mud to either be very slow, or for it to have the lady in question first stuck in a shallow end.

I used to love sinking in socks when I was a kid. Running pants tucked into socks - my legs were clean as a whistle after!

But now in both my sinking habits and my viewing preferences... barefoot.

Hope I'm using the quote function right. Nessie, I like the visual of long white socks in a sinking scene, and in something where the sinking is slow. I remember seeing an old post of yours talking about your clothes preferences and that the men should be in white socks.

Personally, I like the idea of any fancy socks in bright colors or patterns getting so messed up as I go down deeper.
