Captain Kangaroo QS believe it or not

I remember as a small child watching a Capt. Kangaroo episode with the good captain and Mr Greenjeans ( I think)in qs. it was actually a 2 part " to be continued" episode. Am i crazy or did I really see this as a child. I think it was what sparked my interest in the first place. Thanks all. I'm apparrently an old dude with a foggy memory. Jack

I never missed the Captain so unless it was an episode after I began school I don't remember it. Any idea approximately what time period we're talking about here?
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for 27 years. Thank you.
