I'm no student of hockey. My only knowledge comes from watching the Preds play a couple of times each season but what I saw looked like a trip and a perfectly choreographed shove into the glass. Right? Nasty.
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for 27 years. Thank you.

Re: Absolutely despicable.
That was on RDS tonight, but for christ knows why, not on TSN or TSN2 -- which is bizzare considering the bloodbath that was their last game -- the rematch was almost guaranteed to be a good game. Charra has gotten away with this crap in the past, with scumbaggery arguing 'oh, he's just big' -- bullshit. This was clear intent to injure, not just an interference major.
Mackenzie is getting ass-raped on twitter for his comments, that the turnbuckle makes it look worse; uh, Bob? The fracker shoved his FACE into the path of it at speed -- that's not just an accident, that's trying to knock his face out the back of skull, or break his neck. This, will be the topic for the rest of the week.
Stay tuned

here in English and much better Quality.
Yeah, I had to watch it on a stream, TSN not picking this game up seems like a ratings mistake. I can't believe some of the so called "experts" calling this simply an accident, Chara and Patch have a little bit of a Past, but thats just crossing the line.

Re: Absolutely despicable.
Oh you could fix this, real easy.
Here's how:
MASSIVE suspensions automatic when you do shit like this and someone gets hurt -- lets start with 10 games just for a test. A player doesn' t get paid for suspended games, and under the rules, their pay is worked out per game, so try this one; say Charra (I have no idea what he makes) makes 5 million a season; thats just under 61,000 bucks a game -- so that would cost him about 610,000 bucks , or roughly 12% of his yearly salary. That, would be an eye opener - and thats just one incident. Now, do it again eh? Even now, repeat offenders get longer suspensions, but how does 20 games grab them for kicks and giggles? 30? Hmm, gee , Charra, you just lost over 1/3 your pay this season. Thanks for contributing to the pension fund....
This incident is NOT going to be pretty; TSN swapped their main page article in the time it took to write this post from Mackenzie's defence of what should be 'appropriate suspension, if any' to how Charra has a call at noon with the disciplinary committee --- apparently Mike Murphy has to do this one, since that idiot Campbell cannot, his son plays for Boston.
Habs fans probably want life , or season; Bruins likely want nothing, or wrist slap
Eh boy

Re: Absolutely despicable.
Severe concussion and C4 fracture...
yeah, its just a hit, nothing THAT bad...
NOW, the NHL has a big problem -- its not just banged up, this numbskull could have fracking KILLED him with his stupidity.
And, Mackenzie appears to be trying some row back, but I think he needs a fracking outboard, since he really pulled a boner here. It's one thing to think, yeah, the NHL will probably do little. Its another to actually say it, and appear cynical about it - with web and twitter now, you get instant feedback. And in the shorts too
Still nothing on any discipline from conference call

Re: Absolutely despicable.
No suspension
This, will not end well....
When they frack up, boy the NHL doesn't do it in little amounts.
All the usual bullshit language, never left feet, wasn't blow to head, he has never been suspended ever.....
Yeah
Same old song. And of course the Boston mafia now very happy and laughing at Montreal "hah! what payback they get, they dont have any tough guys...."
Uh Huh
All it takes is a split second of the ref looking the wrong way, and 6'9" sack of crap he is, even I could have him on the ice bleeding out. Make no mistake, this is as bad or worse than the Bertuzzi gooning.
Like I said, a smart ref would have made this a match penalty, which would have jammed a thumb in Colly and his pet Murphy's collective eye, and FORCED them to assess at least a 1 game suspension. But the ref wasn't that smart.

Yeah Im honestly done with the NHL now, they are not getting anymore of my money, I have been a Devout Habs fan for years now, but the obvious bias from the NHL against the habs is getting sickening, they get the most Penalties, and teams get away with stuff like this against them, i wish I were lying about all this...

Re: Absolutely despicable.
Well , Mackenzie is bailing on twitter for the night, and Brophy at sportsnet is getting torn into tiny fracking leetle pieces over there. Judging by the commentary thread so far, it was pretty normal until it seems some boston types didn't have the brains to just be quiet and move on, and thought it would be cool to gloat and laugh about it....
Very interesting , to say the least now. One suggestion was, hope Charra doesnt accidentally lose an eye or two with an errant high stick eh?.....
Another beaut was , basically, "so, if next time someone aims a slapshot right at Julien's face on the bench, they just clearing the puck, eh?"
This sort of thing has tendency to get real ugly.
