Aloha!
Aloha! I haven't been round for a bit and thought I'd check in and see how everyone's been doing and what you've been up to.
Can this get any weirder?
Oh yes, little voice, it can always get weirder.

Re: Aloha!
Um … actually, life's been disgustingly normal. There's work — shows, lots of shows — commuting — um, not so normal, when you consider my commute involves flying between Honolulu and Los Angeles! — and family time with hanai ohana — adopted family — in both LA and HNL.
Um … an item of note: I did sound for my first reality TV shoot — that is, of course if you don't count crewing at Studio 588 — and had to handle carrying about thirty pounds of recording equipment in a pack while chasing the principles through a hotel suite, a Hummer limo and two of the loudest nightclubs I've ever been in! Considering the environments, the sound turned out remarkably well! I leaned a few tricks I may bring to bear, should Fred need them, the next time I can make it out to his place.
In other news:
After loosing my quicksand virginity at Fred's studio, I … um, followed suit with a boyfriend in Honolulu.
What else? I've finally taken up the guitar again. My Martin's in the shop … I'm running a website / support group … erm … I was in LA during the latest Hawai'i tsunami alert. My hanai nephew called to make sure I was okay after the waves passed the Big Island and moved on to the Mainland coast. He's a sweet kid.

Re: Aloha!
Sounds like you've really got it together, lady!
Funny- you picked up the guitar again, and so did I. My Lady Wife got me a very inexpensive but playable electric (a Peavey Rockmaster) for Christmas. The fingers are starting to remember what they're supposed to do, but the muscles and tendons in the left arm that power them aren't happy at all.
Have you ever had somebody ask you for more monitor when they were wearing earplugs?

Sounds like your having fun--that's one hell of a commute but I don't think I'd mind going on lunch break in Hawaii.

Oooooh yeah. I once worked with a drummer that set his levels, inserted earplugs, pounded his brains out and complained the monitors sucked the whole night.
