Falling, and I mean FALLING into Quicksand. Anyone Else?

There have been several, especially involving a sort of lass-second trip that results in a largely horizontal landing. Mor than once we have had to clean a lens following such a plunge.

i kinda miss the 'running into quicksand' that used to happen in films? i dont think ive seen any mpv or 588 films do that? even the tantalising baywatch clip ended with her STOPPING & taking a jump! no way!

people should run like they dont expect it like susan penhaligon in 'land that time forgot' - thats almost as good as falling in instead of just walking etc

How about Dukes of Hazzard the episode COy Meets Girl where she walked into the quicksand?

That's one of my favorite thoughts... That said, the two scenes that come to mind are the Beastmaster scene (awesome quicksand in that scene), and there was a scene from an episode of Sheena where the people were in some foreign country taking part is some kind of survivor game or something and a woman is running from some perceived threat. She runs into a snake hanging from a tree and turns from it, running down a muddy slope and near the bottom, she leaps, landing in what appears to be a peat type quicksand bog. Screaming and pleading for help ensues and a guy comes in and just as he's about to throw a heavy log in on her to force her under, Sheena blasts him like a linebacker...

I remember doing the art for Secret lover... fun drawings... and my other artwork which would set up a rather good scene possibility is the one I did of the Air Force Pilot still in her chute harness sinking after her apparent landing in a quicksand bog. I also wrote a story called the Chutist about a young woman sport skydiver who gets hung up in a tree but pretty far out from the bole of the tree... and drops out of her harness into a bog that the tree overhangs. I also did a story called Compass Trouble where a female soldier falls off a rise above a bog.

So, yeah... This concept is one of my favorites.
