"Treatment Program"

First, we bill the program as good for what ails you. Then, when we have a sucker (err, scratch that, customer) we charge them 10 grand for five days of treatment. Then we take them all off into an isolated spot, feed them next to nothing, treat them like they are worthless (which they might be after forking over the 10 grand) and very gullible (which they have already proven to be by signing up in the first place). Then we built a big sweat lodge and make them sit in it without food or water as a "test." Oh wait, that's already been done. Trial is still underway for manslaughter. Ummmm, never mind.
Studio 588 currently offers more than 2200 different HD and QD quicksand videos and has supported production of well over 2400 video scenes and other projects by 20 different producers. Info may be found at:

Wait....Fred....you're on to something here.....well not the whole malnourishment and torture thing but...
Ok, here's the plan. We get this certified by a bunch of shrinks as an "official" mental problem.
Then we say aversion therapy is the only way to cure it (like those quit smoking programs that make you smoke so much you get sick).
Fred changes the name of Studio 588 to "Studio 588 Treatment Center"
We all take all expense paid vactaions to this new treatment center courtesy of our health insurance, and upon return pronounce ourselves cured....at least until next summer, when we all suffer unfortunate relapses.
Good God, sometimes I even amaze myself. 8-)

Um...that's what I described exactly...

It's been tried on me.

"SO...how much mud can that woman take, eh? I'm gonna find out. I'm gonna feed bottomless claypits to her 'til her mud belly fills up and goes on overbloat...I'm gonna sink her 'til she PUKES!"

Worked great. Made me what I am today.

From the time I was ten to the age of 19, I averaged no less than three hours per day, every day, hiking from one isolated mudpit to another. I would go for sinks in weather that was only a few degrees above freezing, fool around for an hour or two, and wash off in a pond that was rimmed by ice. I would then hike three or four miles home through the woods, still wet, so that I wouldn't be seen--it didn't occur to me at the time that the reason I always slept so soundly on those nights was because I was mildly hypothermic.

Okay, leave out mildly. I probably cut it close a few times. When you come in from the cold and step into the shower, turn on the cold water, and it still feels scalding, you're probably far colder than you need to be. The stepfather an alcoholic, and I was prone to depression--it got me out of the house and away from the lush, and it kept me sane. Such as it was.

The only days I didn't were days when I was ill, I was too busy doing something else to get loose, or it was actually snowing and the ground was frozen like a brick. For months on end, I spent nearly every spare moment out I got out in a mudpit. I figure that if it were actually possible to hypersaturate oneself to the point where mud or quicksand didn't look or feel good, I'd have eventually reached that point. And the benefits seemed to outweigh the disadvantages. My legs were like tree trunks, my feet were roughly as tough as Michelin tires, and I didn't think anything of a 15-mile walk. Even better, I made the discovery that clay is really good for skin problems like acne. At least it was for mine.

If it was a "psychological problem," then it was one that brought with it greater strength, greater stamina and clear skin.

Both of you made me think a bit. I'm a "looker" not a "doer" like you so I suffer less from the technical issue of having to find mud. If it isn't presented to me I can just turn it on in my head so I've most always got something going on, all day, every day, for my entire life. I think about the hours I've spent looking for scenes in movies and on tv, the hours and dollars I've spent creating scenes, all that sort of, and it's kind of ridiculous. What else would I have done with all that time, treasure, and energy?

I don't care. 8-)
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for 27 years. Thank you.

As my Lady Wife is fond of saying, "I don't suffer from mental illness; I enjoy every second of it."

Tom o' Bedlam's song

To see Mad Tom o' Bedlam
Ten thousand miles I've traveled
Mad Maudlin* goes on dirty toes
for to save her shoes from gravel

(chorus:)
And I say ho, bonny mad boys,
Bedlam boys are bonny
for they have no care
and they live by the air
and they want no drink nor money

With a host of furious fancies,
Whereof I am commander,
With a burning spear and a horse of air
To the wilderness I wander.

(chorus)

By a knight of ghosts and shadows
I summoned am to tourney
Ten leagues beyond the wide world's end-
Methinks it is no journey.

(chorus)

And there are many, many more verses: http://home.avvanta.com/~efreeman/Basement/TOB.html
* archaic for Madeline, also a play on the emotional state 'maudlin.'

This fetishism is a psychological or mental disorder caused due to brain dysfunction.

Personally, I have several brain dysfunctions. My interest in quicksand is one of the minor ones.

However, once you conquer the mud supply issue...you're done!

But is kind of weird when you wonder if you are falling in love with a mudpit.

I had a pretty close relationship with Poison Sumac Bog for a long time but now I'm dreaming about "Massivia". It's got sinkholes. It's all about 2-3 feet deep 'til you hit one and then, wowie!
