So who wants to bet on how many years it'll take the next one to come out?
Seriously, it was fun.
There's enough of a story to keep you interested but not so much of one that it takes away from the ass kicking. Gameplay is entertaining, especially the interactivity. I spent an hour in the strip club ogling strippers while playing air hockey and pinball. I literally lol'd when I gained a health bonus by taking a piss. Did a couple of curls with a 100lb dumbell then implanted it in some poor guys face....haha.
Firepower is plentiful and varying, anything from laser guns to that old mainstay, the 12 gauge pump. I found myself switching weapons just for the fun of it and not because I was out of ammo. And of coarse, there's the horrible, tacky, one liners that make you remember how fun it was to be 13....it wouldn't be Duke Nukem without them.
Oh, and did I mention the strip club? Yea, I did, but I'll mention it again: Strip Club.
My one and only complaint is the graphics. DX9.0c? Really? And yet somehow even as outdated as they are framerates still manage to get choppy in places. WTF?
To the critics who bashed the hell out of it: What, exactly, were you expecting? An Oscar worthy plot? The need to be strategic? Did you want to spend 20 minutes playing with your inventory before every battle? Yea I thought so. Go back to playing WoW and leave the shooters to the real gamers.
What else is there to say? It's Duke. It's classic. It's awesome. Furthermore, after 12 FUCKING YEARS I finally got to play it!!!!!
