The artist definitely was into MALE sinking. Weren't there any females in those days? (J/K)

Here's something different. From the 1950s and an interesting take on the space race...

At one time, there was speculation the moon was covered in deep dust, and any expedition there was in danger of being swallowed by it. It was only after people went there was that idea quashed.
