"Conchita und der Ingenieur" aka "Macumba" movie

Postby mudxdresser » Thu Oct 06, 2011 8:20 pm

There is a poster from this 1954 German movie showing a mud scene but the movie itself is highly ellusive. The German URL below appears like it might offer this movie. Is there anyone here who can read German well enough to determine if that is the case?

It would seem to include at least a swamp scene -

I found some photos from it as well but nothing spectacular. Apparently taken from a website about the male lead -

But thus far no real info about the movie itself. Let me work on it some.

It's a dirty job but I got to do it for 27 years. Thank you.

I remember that well-built guy in the color poster with the long hair. There's another photo from this movie floating around the Net with him struggling in what looks like an awesome claypit.

Nessie wants to see this too because he's cute and it looks like a great scene...although...this must be mighty hard to find.

There was a pal of mine who saw me whining for this on Deep Sinking...and he was sure he could bag this for me...

No luck.

Actually, I think there are two "Macumba" movies and the "Macumba Love" one is a different movie.

That guy in the color poster is definitely the guy in the elusive scene. I'd know that sinking body anywhere.

I found an old thread on Deep Sinking.

Yep, there are two Macumba movies. "Macumba Love" and no love.

(whine whine whine)

Only "Macumba Love" has been confirmed. Here are the mystery pictures from the other.

Arrrrrrgh! Look at this! This movie is for us!

Now have some links that still don't tell you where to buy the movie. But hey, now that we've got the names of the actors and the director, and a few extra graphics, now that I'm tired of looking, somebody else can keep going.

Thanks for the translation Schlamm. "The German engineer Thomas Kampe comes to Brazil, where he worked on a oil rig. He comes into conflict with a competing company and for this he is threatened by a beautiful Indian girl who falls in love with him."

So, if I understanding this right, all that is there is a description of the movie and no ordering information? The presence of the DVD and VHS symbols to the right is what got my hopes up.
