For that, I use tattered tempest clothes. They come in set of layers from full clothes to torn to just about ripped off. Remeber also that clothes effects come in layers, like the bra comes in underwaer layer, then shirt layer and then jacket layer. I do the same thing when they get dirty when they fall into quicksand. They have clean clothes on before they step into quicksand, then I add a jacket layer of muddy clothes when they fall in. I hope this answers your question if I understood it correctly!
