Czechs are a good team, what was really surprising was the Finns beating USA 4-1. That was an eyebrow raiser by itself.

I hope the New Years Eve game is not just going through the motions :)

Hopefully our team don't choke to another Soft European team in the Gold Medal game lol.

After steamrolling Latvia, be interesting to see how the Russians fare when the heat is on against a stronger team. They have succumbed to victory disease in the past. Hell, everyone has :P

That wasn't so much victory disease as utter collapse in one period.
Which unfortunately happened to be the third...

Should be interesting how it shakes out

You need to take into account how the US had nothing to lose in this game, they completely gave up on Defense in the third and went full on 4 man in offense, look at how many 2 on 1s Canada had in the third.

Man, I hate being right....

Russia V Sweden for the gold medal.

It's hard to say who is in worse shape, us, or the Finns who blew a 2-0 lead and then absolute disaster in shootout.

Oh well, off to Ufa, Russia for 2012-13
