Here is a Coverbook scence I came across! Sorry if this is a repeat post!
Tarzan to Jill Hardy: Girl be still. Not sink!!"
From "Valley Of Mystery" : Don't struggle and do not thrash around; that just makes things worse!

Some great scenes, folks
...Some I hadn't seen before.
I love the " grim justice " stories where some douche sinks to his or her deserved death.

Re: Yet More Comic Book Sinking Scenes
I found page scans of the two AIRBOY comic covers posted on the last page:
Note that Airboy doesn't actually go in QS himself as the first cover suggests, but this guy does, victim of a car-jacking scheme.
The second cover is a little more true to the story inside:

Nice additions, BogDog!
These are getting harder to find, aren't they?

Re: Yet More Comic Book Sinking Scenes
I just scanned through all issues of "Nokya The Jungle Girl", from #2 through #77. I only found 2 Q.S. scenes even though I read somewhere that there were at least 4.
One scene is already posted here where she gets out of a seaplane and steps onto a quicksand beach.
Here's the other one from issue #38, plus a bonus back cover (with a hole worn through it unfortunately):
