Ayane Matrix's 3D/2D Sinking Works

Postby AyaneMatrix » Tue Jun 30, 2009 1:28 am

After much deliberation, and at the prompting of MadMax359, I've decided to post some of my old and semi new sinking works here on the forums. You're probably wondering why I haven't done it sooner, but  I'm not too sure of that myself. If I had to guess, I might have thought that no one was interested. Now, obviously there is some remote interest, so I'll go right ahead and upload my works here.

Now, a quick question while I get the first few prepared. Are there any objections to some of the material being off topic, or should I made a forum posting with some of my other works in the "Off Topic" sub forums?

Meh... Couldn't find the original file I had made, so I had to go with the DA copy. Doesn't make me feel to hot about not being able to find it and the files it was linked to.

More on the way!

This one, Sinking in the Swamp, was one of my better ones, if you can believe that! It was part of a several picture trade/commission set for the admin of Sticky-Site based on a short story about ballet shoes that take posession of it's owner to force them to dance against their will. In this instance, her dancing shoes landed her in a heap of trouble at night. Its dark, I know... I'll have to check and see if I can adjust the gamma on it later. Another image in the series can be seen at this link.

Not much to say about the next one, she's sinking! 8-) I think I wanted something like a jungle themed look, more so with the girl than the total environment.

*cough* Not really sure what I was planning with this, but I think the idea was to somehow have my recently acquired model do some sinking in cement! Meh... doesn't make sense really.

This next one was originally supposed to be a sort of tribute piece for Acid Tester's original sexy girl sinking into a pit of goo. And as thanks for allowing me to buy the prints of his artworks. I think his is WAY better! 8-)

The spy girl was inspired by a similar image by GamePal over on Sticky-Site. It's fairly obvious that she's not doing well as a spy.

Last one is a render test from a while ago with Bryce 5.5. Well, I tried to see what a lake full of tar would be like with an ACTUAL background. Sadly, the depth of view rendering and blurring seemed to have been a bad choice here. That and I don't think many people would actually venture that far out into a large expanse of tar wearing only a bikini. Then again, I did read a story where a guy got conned into doing something similar.

Leg's hope that was a work of fiction. 8-)

First of all, nice work. You should have begun posting a long time ago. And yes, off topic subject matter belongs in "Off Topic" by itself. Keep up the good work. 8-)
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for 27 years. Thank you.

I've always enjoyed your stuff on stickysite and deviant art. Especially the goo/slime pictures, and that "the puddle attacks" one.

Thanks for the vote of support everyone! 8-) I know I could have posted some when the site first started up, but I wasn't all to sure if I needed to. Looks like I was wrong about that.

So, here's another image for another project I'm currently working on. The basis for this image, a girl sinking into a swamp filled with glue, is the topic of a story or comic I'm trying to finish writing. Some of you that have visited Sticky Site might know what I'm referring to; but for everyone else, it's pretty much involves a massive spill at a glue factory near a muck filled swamp where the character "intends" to sink into. Obviously, this image and the character involved will go through a visual update of sorts to better sync with the story and environment she'll be interacting in.

And, if I can get off my butt, I'll have some more renders for everyone's enjoyment. :ugeek:
