It did. Kind of. Haha....The pilots sit in what is basically a titanium "bathtub" with a roll cage over it, and if I remember correctly the seat mounts actually have crumple zones built into them to absorb just this kind if impact. This makes the crew as durable as the rest of the machine, which is basically a flying LAV.
The one thing I always thought was awesome is that the mounts on the wings, in addition to carrying a wide assortment of missles, rockets and other kickassery, can also be used to transport people in a harness. THAT would be an awesome ride.

Years ago, a colleague of mine - a fellow journalist - told me the story of how he had the privilege of riding in the gunner's seat of an Apache when a squadron was visiting our local base for joint live fire exercises. He didn't get to shoot anything, but got a bird's eye view when the pilot swooped in to unleash hell on the range. To this day, I'd have give precious parts of my anatomy to have the same experience...
