Boot Specifics in a Scene Question

Postby Duncan Edwards » Sat Apr 14, 2012 2:01 pm

Hey boot lovers, talk to me a bit.

Does the type of boot matter? Laces or pull overs? Heels? Heavy? Feminine? High fashion? Please talk to me a bit about what you would like to see in a given scene.

Thanks - Duncan
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for 27 years. Thank you.

Depends on the situation...

If a jungle explorer, proper jungle boots like combat ones, for eg.

If she happens to be a hooker lost in a swamp, just a random thought, of curse... thigh boots and spiked heels, or perhaps low knee high ones with fishnet stockings.

:)

Before we get too far then please comment specifically on Ms. Derek's footwear in this photo -

Well as footware for Tarzan, it's not completely ridiculous :P

As a movie, it goes in the "epic blown opportunity" file though

I do occasionally like boots on a damsel in distress; however, Ms. Derek's footwear in the photo you provided, Duncan, are too stylish for my taste.

If a dasmel is going to wear boots in quicksand or deep mud, I like the style that'll get hopelessly stuck in the mud's suction...

- Plain, no-frills, common lace-up work boots that are around 10" to 12" in height so they that the rise up and spread out along the flaring contours of a gal with big calves.

- Black or brown leather, heavy construction (like loggers or lineman boots), with a big, thick heel.

That style of boot seems more realistic for a gal wandering into the wilderness. Of course, the attire I'd prefer her wearing (tank top and thong bikini briefs) is probably more unrealistic, but would look cool with those boots just the same. :D

Waders, wellies, riding boots, anything rubber and swamp-worthy.

Mmhmmm, yes to this indeed.I'm good with knee high boots. Any kind, as for high heels, as long as she can stay balanced on the mud.
