Of course the inevitable point arisie that when claiming nationality Germans do not employ the indefinite article "Ein"; "Ich bin Frankfurter" means "I come from Frankfurt", Ich bin EIN Frankfurter means "I am a sausage"; JFK meant to say "Ich bin Berliner"; "Ich bin EIN Berliner" means "I am a doughnut"; was it a coincidence that 9 months later he died from a hole in the middle of his head?
Also, the British equivalent of "Was it all over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbour?" is:-
"What about Magna Carta? DID SHE DIE IN VAIN?"
-originally by Tony Hancock, during "Hancock's Half Hour", the episode "Twelve Angry Men".

(a month later)
"Ugh! Yukkkh! Ptui! I'm out of it! I'm free! Not even quicksand can defeat the power of.....the Eye of Zoltec!"

The way History is(n't) taught in British schools these days, that joke generally falls flat these days.
In order to make an apple pie from scratch you first have to create the universe.
