Re: Boot Specifics in a Scene Question

Greetings folks- once again, I've been away far too long!!!!
Duncan, there is such a wide variety of boots available these days, almost anything is possible so you have a lot of latitude depending on the character you are developing for the role. I've made my opinions known previously and even though I love to see black (or any other color, for that matter) patent leather thigh high boots sinking into quicksand or mud I know there are very few situations that can be created where they are reasonable, or even far-fetched. There are lots of low-heeled knee high and over-the-knee or thigh high boots that have more of an adventurer/hiker/explorer type look, while still remaining sexy. Rainboots are so popular right now but I don't like the short mid-calf type, Hunters are pretty popular right now but they're too similar to rubber work boots for me. There are semi-fashion rainboots that are knee-high that are more to my liking (and would stand a better chance of staying on in deep mud unless you have skinny calves and I don't have an answer for them) that might be good for some situations. As for the example, Bo Derek's boots in Tarzan were semi-reasonable for the role she played, and sexy enough to interest me. Thanks for asking for opinions, sorry I found the thread so late!

Well...I don't know who likes 'em and who doesn't, but there's not much I can do about it now because they've already been on my feet.

As my name would indicate, I totally agree with the last picture Bart posted. That is perfect. Bart, please post some more-will be happy to see as many as you would like to post. I am new here and will post a better intro another time.
