Same here. Down in South Florida the everglades have all sorts of places but ummmmm not after it was featured on some show I think was called one of the most dangerous places at night. Not only all the gators, but there is an python issue now.

Oysters are more of an issue where water flow is slow like salt marsh. More upriver main issue is rising tide and alligators. I've seen gators on water but never been bothered.

Ok, gotta add this. If I go to a place accessible by land, I take a secured rope and a styrofoam float board. accessible by water, my kayak is tied to my wrist, and I stilll carry a float board. Safety first

ok so yes i always check the tides
the privacy depends on whose out on the water at the time, and also you can go. to the mud thats hidden in the tall grassy areas, just dont get too close to the homes on the edge of the river, its awsome!

yea
I would love to go there, but my wife isn't interested at all.
I guess cleanup was easy with the river. Did you get there by boat or by land? If by land, was it easily accessible or did you have to take a bit of a hike?

You might want to check out the fishing spot under Atlantic Blvd bridge. Was up there a couple years ago on a job and ventured there one night on low tide and there wasn't anybody fishing at the time. Be careful of the clam shells but managed to get chest deep after taking shoes off. Have to have some kind of protection till you get out past the shells, from there ventured over to the beach for proper cleanup on one of the northern parks
