And no fireworks shots other than whats live now on the telly

But, we can offer some video stuff of assorted fun :)

BUFF Training mission April, 2012 from start to finish - edited of course, it might drag a little a 4-6 hour vid :D

Girls of USS Ronald Reagan from 2009, and still great. This is the vid that got some of the geniuses in the 5-sided wind tunnel all a sputter, for a variety of anal-retentive reasons (that were ultimately squashed in uncommon display of common sense)

We Remember See how many faces you can recognize. This a good one

I'll never understand the bureaucratic mind...

I thought it was cool.

Apparently, the fake cardboard sign to the 'reactor compartment' and the guy in the chicken suit got the NavSea types panties in a knot. Like its classified that Ronnie is atomic-powered?

As a Brit working with a lot of US nationals I get asked "on't you feel uncomfortable being portrayed as the bad guy on July 4th?"; I usually reply "No, not really, after all, we did win the return engagement (1812-1815); we occupied New York, burned Washington, sunk your best battleship (USS Chesapeake), humiliated general Hull and President "Don't let them get me" Madison, and if General Brock (ten times the general that the overrated self-publicist Wellington claimed to be) had kept his head down, we would have taken New Orleans too, and you failed in your primary objective, which was taking Canada".
Of course thats when the shouting starts...
"Aaaaaarrrrrrggggghhhhh! Quicksand! I'm sinking! I'll go straight to the bottom of.......GLURP!"
(a month later)
"Ugh! Yukkkh! Ptui! I'm out of it! I'm free! Not even quicksand can defeat the power of.....the Eye of Zoltec!"

No shouting at all.. turns out Britain has been a steadfast ally through the years and visa versa.

Hands across the water... Happy 4th!

memo to the San Diego organizers.... having everything explode at once is not a "display"

Look under "detonation" or "explosion" for the proper terminology.....

Have to admit it was hilarious though, seeing viral vids of all those fireworks going off at once and knowing it wasn't planned.

The good bit here is that nobody got hurt in this screw up so everybody (even the San Diego organizers) can look back on this and laugh about it.

Thanks, Kham! Quiet 4th hereabouts. Didn't even let off a few shotgun rounds in celebration of the holiday this year, and we were traveling when they had the fireworks around home.
