Found this on the DCM. From Jo-Jo Congo King:

How unfortunate you didn't have a proper guide to navigate these swamps.

Wouldn't surprise me... those who did comics then weren't worried about stuff like accuracy... ;)

No kidding! This is particularly true in wartime, although I gather this comic book was made after the war.

If you want to see something amusing, check out some of the American propaganda movies and cartoons about the Soviet Union made during World War II. You'd have thought the Soviet Union was a democracy and Stalin was a great leader. It must have been a need to portray our allies in a positive light regardless of what they were really like. If it wasn't that, then I wonder what they were smoking.

Of course, within a few years after World War II ended, the American media was recognizing the Communist dictatorship for what it was, and they were making the Soviets the bad guys.

That's the thing about marriages of convenience. They usually don't last too long after the thing that made them convenient goes away.

A random Archie cover leads a few more scenes. :)

Hi PM2K

I remember that blobby story from a comic I had long ago. Do you know what comic it is from?

Thanks

I remember seeing pages like that last one, but I can't recall if it was here or at the older 'Deep Sinking' site. At one point a GIANT mermaid was involved.

Fortunately, I still have saved copies....Enjoy.
