Looks like we're barely going to get anything here. I'm in the south western part of LA, about 15-30 minutes from Texas. I'm a weather fanatic, so I was kind of hoping it would scootch west just a tad more :P Pretty windy right now, and the forecast shows for up to 2 inches of rain by the time it's done >.> but only time will tell.

Good luck to everyone in its way. Shouldn't be anywhere near as bad as Katrina though, this is a Cat 1 Katrina was a Cat 5. Looks like some of the more inland states that have been praying for rain are going to get an answer.

Baton Rouge seems to be doing fine so far. The southeasterrn part of the state is getting the worst of it. However, this kind of thing is by no means new there, so short of levee breach, they should be fine.

If the people near the levee breach had evactuated when told to they wouldn't be in danger. Does Louisiana translate into "Slow Learner" in some ancient indian language?

Louisianians are notoriously stubborn. Interpret that as you wish.
