Ambidextrous means you have equal control over both hands.
example if you can write with both hands and the words come out clearly with both.

Ok, but how about when you throw a knife?

While I am unsure of the reason behind the question here, if it has to do with things like left brain versus right brain issues, it may be useful to recognize that handedness is not the only aspect of side-dominance. We also have a preferred eye, and eyedness is independent of handedness. It is possible to be right handed and left-eyed, or left handed and right-eyed. That is called "cross-dominance, although that term is also sometimes used to refer to situations such as writing right-handed and eating left-handed, and the like. In some sports it is preferable to be cross dominant and in others it is preferable to not be, so we cannot say that one combination is better than another.

The technical answer is no it does not. True ambidextrousness is actually quite rare and refers to the ability to use either side equally well. That is, if you were ambidextrous you could eat, operate a knife, or anything else with equal performance with either side.

You have NO IDEA of how lucky you are man. Try finding a decent left handed or even a truely ambidextrous mouse. I won't even get into the wacky key rebindings I have to do for certain games lol.....

Ok then, given this criteria I'm definitely left-handed. I could probably write more legiably with a pen in my mouth than my right hand. I've tried it several times and it just doesn't work. I also pity my left hand if I try cutting with my right hand, it wouldn't be pretty.

I'm left-handed. You can tell sometimes by the smears in my pencil drawings.
