A different look to things

I am sorry I did not bring a camera on my current trip to Studio 588. Right now, every branch, every pine needles, every twig, and almost every square foot of ground is coated with a thin layer of ice and snow. In the grey, fading light of dusk the effect is quite striking.

LOL, right now and for the pst three days, while I can get to the car, the "cut the budget at all costs" people in this state have got the roads largely in an impassable condition. Plow? Sand? Salt? Fuck it, it'l melt eventually.

When you have heavy icing plowing the snow off can actually make it worse. If you remove the snow the ice sticks right to the road and you end up with not only a skating rink, but a road that looks deceptively safe till you're spinning out of control toward the nearest tree. Living in the snow belt all my life I learned the best thing to do was just don't go out in it unless it's an emergency. Even 4 wheel drive doesn't help much on ice.

I know about driving on ice and snow - I grew up in a suburb of Boston.

That could make for quite an interesting video. Two models having a snow ball fight in quicksand. Or one model on the shore and the other in the quicksand.
Though if it's cold enough to snow to make snow balls it'd be too cold to have someone in quicksand like that and wouldn't want the models to be in extreme tempeters like that (hot or cold)

A blue screened snowstorm has potential but by itself introduces a discontinuity that distracts from the effect. Specifically, the snow is falling in the background but not in the foreground. That could be eliminated by placing the scene indoors, with the snowstorm seen through a picture window or by introducing some reason why its not snowing on the pit. Perhaps the pit is inside a roofed sacrificial temple or something.
