Single shot .380 ACP. Only non-printed pieces are a common off the shelf nail (firing pin) and a metal shank thats only there to make it legally detectable. Barrel only maintains accuracy for about six shots but considering how easy it is to replace that shouldn't be too much of an issue. The Genie is officially out of the bottle......for good or ill.

Yeah, it's a cool experiment and it will only be improved upon until someone prints a Barrett light .50 with it. Like it or not the future is being able to get or have anything in the hands of anybody be it through commerce, criminal enterprise, or personal manufacture.

At first thought that it was "bad" to have this ability to print out a gun. A joke on the one who prints one out.
I've changed my opinion. I've seen on YouTube the results on a lower being tested, failing, re- tested ,failing again etc, etc etc. I came to the conclusion as a gun builder and a gun collector. I have fabricated parts (trigger guard, handle ) and have read articles in Shotgun News on a build for dummy and functioning guns. There is very little difference between a printed AR lower, a rewelded"de-miled" lower, and using a "pipe" of propper dimensions to refurb a WWII Sterling SMG. ( or a star wars gun) . Adding a serial number is not necessary but highly recommended by BATFE.

Yea making your own guns really isn't anything new. I really want to try machining my own 80% lower when these guys get their stuff back in stock.

All you need that isn't there is a decent drill press, a two axis milling table, and assorted end mills. Little more expensive then just buying one but being your own DIY gunsmith makes up for the hit to the wallet.

you should try a place called ar15 plus they usually have a good selection of 80%recievers

^^I ran across those before. If you read the "how to" carefully you realize there's a shit ton of hard to access spots that need to be drilled really, really precisely to make the one from AR-15 Plus work. There's no way I would attempt to accomplish that with my $60 harbor freight drill press hahaha.....The one Tactical Machine sells ONLY needs the central pocket milled out, which is actually very easy with a quality end mill and some patience.
