I'm sorry - the idea that Jackson's King Kong was better (or even worth mentioning in the same breath as) the 1930s classic is just laughable. Though to be fair, it WAS better than the 1970's version.
As for Star Trek the Motion Picture - this was of itself a re-make of sorts. Of A TV programme. And was inferior to the original.
