My avatar is quite deliberately nothing like me. I have much less hair, and it's not that colour. It is a depiction of my favourite comic character, Red Sonja (she's my favourite because she has an even more impressive set of personality disorders than I have). It was executed to my requirements by Mark Spears. I think I have a full-size scan somewhere.

Ah yes, here it is.

Mine is nothing so complicated.

...it's just me, Halloween season, 2007, with one of my favorite carved pumpkins from that year...when lit up, it actually spooked me a bit...thought it might bite me...

BTW, my quote is by Master Oogway from Kung Fu Panda

"Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery -
today is a gift...that's why it's called the present!

From the cover of The Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy. Perfect advice for any situation, especially appropriate here- well, maybe just a bit of panic!
Mostly harmless...

The one I choose was my avatar in Second Life at one time. I haven't been back for some time now, since my computer crashed. I would frequntly go over to Quicksand Cove to sink and role play Damsel In Distress scences, and explore other places in SL Maybe I will return there again someday! If my computer gets fixed!! :)

I chose my avatar because,.... hmmm... This was the first year I did any sinking 10 years ago... wow has it really been that long? This was when I realized it was not a modeling job, it was fun and scary and sexy. I loved it. I remember being stuck in the river bank of the Great Mississippi River. Chest deep is where I start really *feeling it* (if you know what I mean) It is the part where sex and fear begin to intertwine for me.
I don't know if I have ever mentioned this before... but ... this is a tough one to explain ... Duncan has refered to me as "the fearless babe of velvet and steel"
He is right... kind of ...
The Velvet = Sexually attracted to the feeling of something caressing and taking my entire body.
The Steel = Doing my best to not show the fear that I feel when the liquified earth wants to take my life.

So here it is, Fear makes my senses more alive, so I get very .... horny. I might seem like a bad ass, and some say that I very well might be. In reality, I am afraid every time I go under that I won't come back up.

Gee...there's a tag line if I ever heard one. 8-)
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for 27 years. Thank you.

My avatar is composed by me. It shows the characters from Ukrainian cartoon series about cossacks. Doob (oak-tree) the Cossack is one of the main characters. The girl is actually his bride and she appears only in one of the last episodes of the series. There were no sinking scenes in the series. Originally Doob the Cossack was standing in a great puddle under the pouring rain on the field of a football stadium and was looking at the football floating in the puddle ;)
There’s so many different worlds
So many different suns
And we have just one world
But we live in different ones
