Since we started to express our opinions about DeepSinking.org I may add my one, too.
I never left DeepSinking. As many others, I am a member both here and there. For me, DeepSinking before the change of policy and the following exodus was the better place to stay. It was rather comfortable and covered many of my interests. Now I am somewhere between today DeepSinking and QuicksandFans, visiting both places, but mostly hanging out at DeviantArt.
dk_angel7 mentioned other QS forums, but I don't know what he was speaking about. I don't know any other places. FantasyDangerIsland appeared and vanished, DevilClown's community appeared and vanished, YAHOO QS groups either have died or are dying out now, Sticky-Site is now resurrected but QS never was a main topic there. What I missed? Downunder in the Jungle is accessible but wasn't updated since 2009, IndeX's awesomecoreQUICKSAND also wasn't updated for ages, and many galleries are removed. I don't know if QSA/UberGaijin's works are exposed somewhere in the Internet. I don't know if Mirador's awesome renderings are accessible anywhere. I didn't mention gay communities - they are beyond the scope of my interests. I suppose there may be interesting communities speaking other languages. But from what I could hear from German, Spanish, and French speaking people who are here, there is virtually nothing in those languages. There is a YAHOO group in Spanish, and it is not very active. There was a French WAM forum, I even registered there (I don't speak French

), but there was not much of what I could be interested in. Anything in German? There are people from Hungary, Czech republic, Finland, the Netherlands here - I am pretty sure they don't have their national communities. I can tell you for sure that there is no such Ukrainian community. There were several attempts to make something in Russian, but it always were one-two-three guys and their forums disappeared (actually, they were focused at either WAM or rubber boots).
Sorry for a long ranting. The summary is, this place is virtually the only one really active QS forum. What is sad, because more diversity would be really good. And on my opinion for several last years the community is rather collapsing than spreading.
