Prediction A: Yet another nut job off/on psychotropic meds that should've been in a nice padded room but who's right to be insane was deemed more important than public safety.
Prediction B: Allah Ackbar bang bang bang.....

Re: Shooting at Washington Navy Yard
Scumbag apparently had a previous firearm incident in 2004 shooting out tires in car.
AND, CNN , that bastion of retards and mentally-disabled morons, stated today that they Just COULDNT remember the last time there was a shooting on a military base....
Fort Hood, maybe, you stupid bastards? By the pigfucker currently on death row at Leavenworth? That just might shatter their fragile little minds though. Cant change the narrative!

Re: Shooting at Washington Navy Yard
Deepest condolences to the families. The more I read up on this, the stranger it gets. No hint at a motive whatsoever. One story has him ambushing cops to get the selective-fire AR-15. Supposedly he used a stolen ID to access the base. One report identified him as a Buddhist, not a radical Muslim. Reportedly a former Navy Reservist, later worked for a defense contractor doing work for Sea Systems Command. He supposedly had PTSD from 9/11, even though he wasn't there. (I don't feel so alone now.)
As to his gun history, besides shooting out car tires, he is reported to have "accidentally" put a round through the ceiling of his apartment into his upstairs neighbor's apartment, apparently after a dispute about noise.
Didn't I read something about how, for "security reasons" military personnel are no longer allowed to carry weapons on base?

That regulation has been around a while before this; it is the primary reason the pigfucker got away with killing so many soldiers -- the MPs were the only ones armed

I understand, from what I read, this guy had a security clearance. I'd like to know how he got one of those, given his record. I suspect, given that our armed forces are "administered" by bureaucrats, he was one of those who "slipped through the cracks." At least that's what those seeking to cover their backsides will say.
Some 30 years ago, when MAD Magazine did their satire of "Raiders of the Lost Ark," they included the scene where Indiana Jones first met the officers from military intelligence.
"Military intelligence?" he asked. "Isn't that an oxymoron?"
This was another example of MAD's satires containing more truth than the "straight" media.

The more info you hear the worse it gets. In technical terms this dude was about five beers short of a six pack.

Yep
I see the chattering classes from the top down trying the usual never let a crisis go to waste moves, which have Zero chance of success. Just annoyingly predictable.
And, CNN, along with their Limey Twit, Piers Morgan (Limey Twit is about the low-end you can call him, after that you have to be more specific...) win the utterly retarded asshole award with the inane endless AR-15 EVVVULL!!@!@ Eleventy!! And ultimately calling for the outlawing of the AR15 shotgun.... savour that for a moment. Layers and layers of fact checkers.....just in case there's confusion, the weapon he screaming about banning, point of fact, does not exist.
The murdering asshole, was armed with a shotgun and took weapons from victims in the yard. The only AR there was used by the police to kill the scumbag.
narrative, all about the narrative
Look! A squirrel!!

Re: Shooting at Washington Navy Yard
I'm all for the 2nd Amendment, but I don't think that a background check and mental health evaluation are too extreme. I just worry about it being abused, and that folks like myself with minor mental health issues (mild to moderate depression, successfully treated) will have our guns taken away. If you're so mentally ill that you can't be trusted with a firearm, should you really be wandering the streets? You can kill just as many people by driving your car onto a crowded sidewalk.

Re: Shooting at Washington Navy Yard
The 2nd Amendment has nothing to do with this murder spree, its being made to look like it does like every time there's one of these by the chattering classes.
The issue is poor security, poor security clearance checks, and as you mentioned mental health issues and lax procedures in revoking his clearance. The mental health issue is the one that needs focussed on, but I guarantee you they will be shying away from it like a vampire from garlic. Doesn't fit the narrative, y'see
