Being a runner myself, many of my friends have become very interested in mud runs. In many of these mud runs, the mud can be rather deep and the runners get stuck in some parts. A lot of people I know absolutely love these mud runs. One person I was chatting with mentioned how she enjoyed spending time getting through the mud, and I asked her what would happen if she got stuck. She surprising mentioned after hesitating that it would be fun and a challenge to get out.
Has anyone wondered about whether people who really enjoy these mud runs may have some sort of a deep mud or even quicksand fetish? I would think the majority would not and just say that they love the run, but this person's response to my question had me intrigued.

This runner does and there is an MPV model of note that is very good at them as well.
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for 27 years. Thank you.

I actually am very interested in these as well, but have yet to attend one. I had planned on going to one this summer but circumstances prevented me. My wife and I are planning on going next year, hopefully I'll get my wish and she'll get stuck and need me to rescue her. 
Mind you she's privy to my quicksand fetish and enjoys it quite a bit. One can hope
