Anybody Love Anime or fantasy games etc?

Hello QS fans, anybody loves anime?

Spreading the joy and love here with anime! :D

Love to see some Otakus and serious anime lovers. I watched tons of anime. Currently watched Bleach, Soul Eater, One Piece, Sword Art Online, and Naruto (Uncut) on Toonami every Saturday in English dubbed. I also watched Evangelion 1.11 last few months ago and 2.22 about a month. All those shows I've watched are 5 stars from me.

I also watched: Code Geass- Lelouch of the Rebellion, S-cry-ed, Fooly Cooly, Deathnote, Zatch Bell, Bobobobobobo, Prince of Tennis, Ravemaster, Outlaw Star, Tenchi Muyo, Tenchi Muyo GxP, few Bleach movies, few Naruto movies, Inuyasha, Witch Hunter Robin, Paranoia Agent, Witchblade, Samurai 7, Eureaka 7, Campione, Toriko, Cashern Sins, Deadman Wonderland, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, Ghost Hunter, Spirited Away, Durarara, XXXHolic, Ah! My Goddess, Love Hina, Blood Plus, Trinity Blood, Read or Die, Big O, Cowboy Bebop, Vampire Knight, Rosairo Vampire, Ghost in the Shell- Stand Alone Complex, Full Metal Alchemist/ Brotherhood, Dirty Pairs, Neon Genesis Evangelion tv series, few Gundam series, Ruoami Kinshen or Samurai X, IGPX, Naruto Shippuden, and Samurai Champloo.

Anime I heard or read in manga: Accel World, Sand Chronicles, Fruit Basket, Hellsing, Ouran Host Club, Gurren Lagann, Highschool of the Dead (HOTD), Fairy Tales, Attack on Titan (seems popular), Kore wa Zombie Desu ka!, Black Lagoon, Shakugan no Shana, Angel Beats, Dance in the Vampire Bund, Fate Stay Night, DNAngel, Air Gear, Hidan no Aria, Chobits, Elemental Gelade, Infinite Stratos, Darker Than Black, Devil May Cry, Rozen Maiden, Heaven's Lost Property, Afro Samurai, Samurai Strangers, B.O.D.Y., Hetalia, Black Butler, Amnesia, Hanbun No Tsuki Ga Noboru Sora, Strawberry Panic, Wolf's Rain,Serial Experimental Lain, Itsuka Tenma no Kuro Usagi, Elfen Lied, Sacred no Blacksmith, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei, CLANNAD/Afterstory, Karin, Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Girls, Hidan no Aria, Sousei no Aquarion (Genesis of Aquarion), Murder Princess, KannaZuki No Miko, Black Rock Shooter, and Howl's Moving Castle.

I've listened to most of these anime's opening and ending songs, osts, etc. Also on piano ass well. I loe anime songs and soundtrack BGMs.... I played few anime-related fantasy games like Final Fantasy 2, 3, 13, and 13-2. Played Mabinogi (currently), Pockie Pirates, Pockie Ninja, and Pockie Saints. Played Tales of Symphonia, Tales of Grace, Tales of Vespira, and few Fire Emblem series for GA, DS, and other tv game consoles. I then played Castlevania on ninteno Wii too!
I watched some PG anime that usually be on Cartoon Network. WB4Kids, and Disney channels like Pokemon, Dragon Ball Z series, Yu-gi-oh series, etc. But I'm more into PG-13 and R Japanese think glossy thorough anime. Intense anime with serious action, craziness, and depth color-texture.

I collect anime keychains, anime journals, anime T-shirts or clothings, anything associated with anime I buy them!!! I write anime-fantasy stories of my own. My anime name is: "Sunbeam Evilnac Moonlight" the mighty imaginist person. Unfortunately the name "Sunbeam" is taken. I got it from the character of an anime Zatch Bell, Kaft Sunbeam. Blonde hair guy who works in some kind of an wood-craftingshop wearing long jean pants and a green vest outfit. But I do enjoy writing journals for last 10 years since my schooling days. I had such strong anime desiring fantasy; I been writing about vampires, warfares, romances, and even erotic rated R contents. Mostly quicksand and intense sex pleasures.

Also me anime may have some quicksand scenes in them. Or erotic muddy games. Like Queen's Blade and Spirited Away.

Anyway this is the ANIME ZONE, comment anything about anime or fantasy things you've experienced. :)

Wow, you're really into this stuff. So you love anime soundtracks and Noir is not on your list? I highly recommend it for the atmosphere and the soundtrack by Kajiura Yuki.
Visit me at the Great Swamp, but watch your step on the way there!

That is because I haven't heard of Noir. There are about millions of anime that I have never ever discovered, but i listed several other anime that I haven't full watched...... All I could say, but I sincerely do LOVE anime, i'm the top Otaku, or one of them :/

As parents of a currently 18 year old daughter, who watched television with her, we ended up watching a lot of anime. Dragonball Z, One Piece, Naruto, Inuyasha, Trigun, etc. Ruroni Kenshin became a family favorite, as did Samurai Jack (that's not really anime, though, is it?) We of course saw the movie "Spirited Away" - VERY strange flick. . . The Animatrix was pretty good. There was also this one anime set in space (dubbed from Russian into English) that had this race of space elves fighting a war against very nasty humans. Forget the name, but it was excellent.

Not much into that type of fantasy gaming myself, but my geeky daughter and her equally geeky boyfriend are bigtime into Zelda. He's into Kingdom Hearts also. The whole family got into playing Pokemon back when there were only 150 of the little critters. Still have my Yu-gi-oh deck somewhere too- even used to go to game sessions/tournaments sometimes.

In my case it was rather opposite. I was "directed towards anime" by my students. (Well, if we not take into account the fact that my first anime I had seen in theater in 1971 or even earlier). I discovered things that I really liked. I became a member at a local anime forum, and for some time I was quite an active member there. Later I revealed the secret that I was more than 2 times older than almost everybody there. And then I "directed towards anime" my daughter. At first I downloaded series for her, then she started doing it herself. At first I selected the best series for her age (asked advices on the forum), then she started doing it herself.

Well, neither me nor my daughter (who is 20 now) became otaku. We both are big fans of Hayao Miyazaki. We also have some individual preferences, in my case it is Cowboy Bebop - an animated series which I praise much higher than anything else in the genre. I can say for sure that anime made a great influence on me, and funny fact is that influence mostly happened when I was well above 40.

Oh man, I've watched a ton of anime, quite a few I haven't finished. Besides the Dragon Ball series, Sailor Moon, Pokemon, and Digimon; I discovered Fushigi Yuugi right after high school. Then I came to know more series/movies like Evangelion, Akira, Birdy the Mighty, Magic User's Club, Lain, Excel Saga, Rurouni Kenshin, Love HIna, Saber Marionette J, Tenchi Muyo, Di Gi Charat, Azumanga Daioh, Chobits, .hack//SIGN, Read or Die, School Rumble, Haibane Renmei, Slayers, FLCL, Elfen Lied, Gunslinger Girl, Naruto, Higurashi no Naku koro ni, Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Lucky Star, K-On!, Black Rock Shooter, HOTD, Madoka Magica, Anohana, Chuunibyou, Certain Scientific Railgun, Another.. yeah list goes on.. Films from Hayao Miyazaki, Satoshi Kon and Mamoru Hosoda are fantastic.

I'm not much of a gamer these days, but I love Final Fantasy VII and Parasite Eve. I mostly enjoy games for the art designs such as Disgaea and God Eater.

I think I have most of these... just added the original Cutey Honey to the list - where I stumbled upon that quicksand scene I posted recently - and am about to start Space Pirate Captain Harlock. One series I'm a mega otaku over is the Gundam franchise... can't get enough of that. Have to snag Gundam Unicorn one day... but I'll wait until the entire series is out before snagging it. I hate waiting for conclusions to come out. ;)

Then there's RahXephon, Gurren Laagan, Darker Than Black, The Dirty Pair, Code Geuss, Ghost Hunt, Full Metal Panic, Full Metal Alchemist.... etc, etc...

Have a soft spot for Sailor Moon... plus Urusei Yatsura, Ranma 1/2, and of course Inuyasha...

I was never really into Anime or Anime esque things (I watched Dragonball Z back when it was that new and cool thing back in 2003-2004 here in Canada, our version had its own awesome soundtrack and stuff and all the filler was cut out so it was really fun to watch.)

Only Japanese series im really into is the HyperDimension Neptunia series that started about 3 years ago. (Its a video game series mainly, but now it has a full Anime and all the other things etc, but im really only interested in the games.) I think its because the series is a giant parody of the video game culture/history in general. Like each character represents a Video game Console or video game production studio etc and you will miss a ton of the subtle jokes and the like if you're not a gamer from the NES/SNES days and beyond.
