Having used both a CB radio and a cell phone while driving I can say for sure that the CB is far less distracting just because there is nothing to look at and conversations tend to be very brief and to the point. In 1979 I could talk on the CB while driving, listening to Ted Nugent, doing homework, fooling with a girlfriend, and eating a cheeseburger, simultaneously, at 80 miles an hour, in a heavy rain. I would have gotten killed with all the distractions of my iPhone for sure.
