Re: color me skeptical
That sounds like some kind of urban legend.
I have only ordered from them a couple times...I only order a thing online if it cannot be gotten another way.
(Quicksand video, actually, is a good example of a thing that cannot be had from a walk-in store.)
If ANYTHING shows up at my door that I did not order and it's got a bill for me to pay, no matter how discounted that bill is...the company who sent it is gonna be toast. I'll not only harass the snot out of their customer service, but I'll find their Facebook and they'll be sorry they messed with me.

P.S. Whew. It's not actually going to your home, just, if you've expressed interest in it, it may be shipped to a warehouse near you because they think you'll buy it.

1) I have always operated on the assumption that an item that arrives unsolicited is a gift unless it was intended for someone else. I would not life a finger to ship it back. They can come and get it themselves if they like.
2) Pre-shipping to a warehouse because statistics suggest a cominig demand is hardly something new. One can pretty well predict that snow shovels will be in higher demand in New England that New Orleans. I suppose they might mean shipping a box to a warehouse with my name on it but that is just what I would call pre-positioning.
3) I do remember a few years ago that Federal Express freaked out some customers by answering their phone calls BEFORE the phone actually rang.

Re: color me skeptical
So If I regularly place that 60" OLED 1080P TV in my cart but then delete it, they'll eventualy get tired of putting it in a box but then taking it out and just send me one? Haha yea....good try right?
It could work for people who place regular orders for perishable goods. For example if Customer A orders ink cartridge B once every month, box it, stage it, and wait for the order to come in. Shave several hours off the picking process.
