Re: Yet More Comic Book Sinking Scenes
I was just remembering a quicksand from a comic back in the dim mists of memory. . . I think it was "Creepy Tales" but I may be wrong. Anyway, this crook whose partner disappeared with the loot from their last job goes to a Gypsy fortune teller to find out where his partner went to. She has this skull with one red and one green eye that light up to answer questions. He steals the skull- but finds out he can't let go of it- it is magically fused to his hand. Anyway, no spoilers but it ends in a QS scene. Anybody else remember this one?

Yep, that's it. I recall that one too.
The skeleton that emerges from the QS is his former BETRAYED partner, mocking him.
