No. These are innocent fantasies harmlessly played. In fact, they create gainful employment for female models. So it is actually philogynistic.
If you want insight into the huge range of male fantasies, browse the listings at http://www.niteflirt.com and note especially the providers catering to men who have fantasies of themselves cuckolded into misandristic situations like forced feminization. The story I hear is that these men are normally powerful in their day jobs and get a rush from having the tables turned on them. Who can fathom the mysteries of the human mind, especially its sexual parts?
EDIT: To take the proverbial "red pill" a la The Matrix and awaken from the hypnotic trance of today's cultural programming, search the Web for hits on the key term "The Manosphere" and consider posing your questions in select forums there anonymously to get a more general view from pro-male participants. It would be interesting to get their take on the quicksand fetish. I am sure they have fantasies that make ours look quite tame.
It is especially noteworthy that someone -- most likely a self-entitled feminist -- made many duplicate entries for "misandry" at http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.p ... dry&page=5 in an attempt to drown dissenting voices on the subject.
Do you think our interest is Misogynistic?

No, it's normal human sexuality and the last bit of hidden masculinity we are allowed to keep. Kind of in line with what Green Heart is saying; the new religion of political correctness is designed to make you feel guilty about anything male. I don't know the age of the original poster but I'd bet he's under 30. Before we had political correctness we had manners, civility, courtesy, and norms that society said you had to follow. When all that fell to the "do your own thing" crowd we soon had to follow "their thing" instead. Don't buy into it. Your a guy and a human and what goes on in your head is all yours.
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for 27 years. Thank you.

Not at all misogynistic. Some of the scenes feature the girl overcoming her peril and make her heroic. My favorite are the erotic ones that show the girl enjoying the mud. Plus, I have a thing for femmes fatale, so I wouldn't enjoy something that was just the victimization of women.

I'm not questioning anyone, I just find myself pondering my attraction to females in peril from time to time and was curious what others thought.
I'm 34 btw...lol. I subscribe to the old way's too. I hate PC thinking. Sadly, it's everywhere now.
Understood.
Relationships with females are at their root based on what worked for cavemen. At your innermost cave dwelling level you want to procreate and spread your DNA as much as possible. This causes you to look for a mate who in your mind appears to be a good breeder. This is what you want way down deep inside. What you want really isn't important.
What she wants is security. Physical, emotional, spiritual, financial, security, so she can be mom. That's your job. If you bring more problems to her than you solve you are not good mate material in her eyes. Yeah, sympathy will work for a while but she doesn't want a puppy she wants a man. Be the man. Get the woman.
Just don't tell my wife.

If you watch anything action/adventure related, it is going to have characters in some sort of peril. If the hero doesn't have some sort of danger to go through, there isn't going to be any suspense. Of course, I guess the argument could be made that you aren't necessarily getting a sexual thrill, but I think that is still a valid point.

Any thought's?
Well, turn it around the other way for a bit....men are the majority but they are not the only ones present here.
I was once asked over lunch by a quicksand guy if the fact that I occasionally liked to watch men in quicksand, or fantasize heavily on the subject, meant that I harbored a hatred of men.
The answer is no.
For some reason, I have a psychological quirk in my erotic makeup that is somewhat different from the norm. It's just a biological reflex. It's physiology and chemistry.
Nobody asks why you shiver in the cold or sweat in the heat. Nobody asks why you are hungry when you have not had food.
But for some reason, when it's a sex kind of thing, people want to attach grand significance to it. "I think about women in quicksand because...I must secretly hate them! Subconsciously, I must be wishing some kind of discomfort or harm on them!"
Have you harmed anyone?
If the answer is yes, you do need to change.
If the answer is no, then enjoy your quicksand.

You of all people know better than to take me too seriously.
EDIT - Upon further review I can see where I probably have caused people some unhappiness. Ironic that in a thread about Misogyny I come across as just that. In stretching a point to make one it certainly wasn't my intention to degrade the ladies that frequent this board. The last thing in the world I want to do is make them feel uncomfortable here and that was likely the effect I achieved. One thing I failed to keep in mind was that some of the ladies here might be "one of the guys" but they are still women. There are no excuses. Please accept my honest apology and consider a lesson learned.
