Very cool!
I've been a fan of Sgt. Rock since I could read. Never saw this one before, though. Thankls for this, Robert!
This bit reminded me of a scene I read years ago. There was a British adventure series of pocketbooks called The Glasshouse Gang, about a bunch of Army misfits tangling with the Afrika Korps. In one of the novels, the dangers of quicksand was explained to our heroes... and later during a firefight, while trying to flank the British, a group of Germans ended up sinking to their deaths in it. Grim stuff.

Thanks guys, I have every appearance of Sgt.Rock in DC comics as I also was a big fan and also of Joe Kubert's art. As brief as it was I thought it was portrayed very well.

J. Kubert was in a class by himself.

J. Kubert was in a class by himself.Loved his work. At the risk of veering the forum off topic, ever check out Enemy Ace? I highly recommend that one...
I estimate I have 99% of Kubert's art from published comics. Enemy Ace was another favorite and often thought of the women he drew sinking in quicksand. (just to keep the thread on topic..lol)
Next up ... "Turok Son of Stone" in a tale of quicksand. The story is as much about the bog as it is about Turok so I will present the entire 14 page story. Here is the first installment.

Awesome! Thanks Robert!
As for Joe Kubert... he drew a quicksand scene with ladies?
