I dunno if its really a response to your question but I think the work "fetish" leads to confusion. In the true meaning of the term I suspect the number of people who have, or will admit they have, a quicksand fetish is rather small; probably limited to some subset of people here. On the other hand, if we take the term in a much broader sense of people who find some sort of stimulation from being in quicksand or from watching others through various media, then I would suspect the interest would extend to a much larger group. And, if we just look to see what number of people find a quicksand scene exciting, as distinct from any kind of sexual stimulation, then it might be a large group indeed. Just my take.

I've run across comments on Youtube videos where folks admitted to thinking that certain producer made scenes were a turn on. I think there are a lot of people out there that would find it arousing when they are exposed to it but they don't otherwise know it exists. I've always had trouble believing that the few hundred of us here were all of the qs fetish followers, or potential followers, on earth.

If you define a fetish as being an absolute requirement for sexual stimulation then the QS fetish is probably pretty rare. Like most fetishes in fact. If you accept that some/many people are stimulated/excited by QS as a bondage/damsel in distress or humiliation substitute or adjunct then there are probably a lot of people who find it erotic--but they may not admit it!!

Agreed. It is, I think, pretty much a truism that when it comes to admitting that one finds one or more non-sexual things stimulating there are two kinds of people. One kind are called people who will admit they have such an interest and the other kind are called liars.

The thing I find most interesting of all is that the clip usually shown on said sites and forums is the infamous "Krystal" scene. For some reason, that clip is often thought to be real! People think someone is actually filming Krystal sink to her demise...lol. YET....there are still many people responding that it made them "horny"! This opens up a whole nother set of questions.

That was actually one of the examples I was thinking about. Tells you a lot about people and Krystal's skills.

I've mentioned this before, but while I always had a "thing" for quicksand and deep mud/mire/bog scenes - comic, movie, TV, print - since the day I first became aware of them - right from the time I could walk, I think... I never made a sexual connection to it until I discovered the community back in 1998. Those nude photos/drawings and early erotic tales were real eye openers...

One story in particular, Fatal Embrace (by Satcha?) really struck the spark in me... a first person perspective of a young lady out for a walk, encountering quicksand, and without taking off her jeans (she manages to dislodge her underwear) proceeds to get off in it even as it takes her under. That hit me like a thunderbolt, and opened up a whole new aspect to quicksand I never even considered before until then. I really haven't been the same since...

I'm wondering if others being mentioned in this thread, who are introduced to quicksand that way, were in the same boat in the sense they never made the connection, until that certain video clip or prose or discussion...

I'm in the same boat as you, PM2K... the Internet became available right as I was really "coming of age," and right when I was ready to fetishize Quicksand, all those early quicksand stories were already there, waiting, on the Internet...

I've had a fetish for quicksand since I was very young...hell probably the moment I was born...and I never really talked about it to my friends or family (my boyfriend is the only one that knows about my fetish and he seems to be alright with it) because I felt they wouldn't understand why I get turned on by quicksand...they still don't know to this day. You are correct that quicksand girls are not common, but they may not be as rare as you think. I know of five I am sure of. Four of those I have met face to face and had enough interest to actually travel to Studio 588 for the purpose of using the pits, and not as paid acting talent. The fifth I never met but there are two people I know fairly well who did meet her at a sinking location. There are six or seven others I have corresponded or chatted with, about half of whom I believe to be who they claimed to be, and about half I do not believe. There are four or five others whom I am quite sure are not who they claim to be.
