Herc Playing
Probably most people have seen a C-130 flying around the country here and there; now for those who think that the Herc is just a 5-ton dumptruck with wings
check This video out. Love the bank angle in some shots. Follow the leader....

Re: Herc Playing
You may recall I said in an earlier post I had KC-130s in my hometown for parachute practice for the Marines. I saw the Hercs do some astonishing low-level banks and moves that were a sight to behold. They took my breath away, along with everyone else who saw them. The C-130 series may look ungainly and utilitarian, but they're as agile as almost anything in the sky.

Ever watch a C-130 do a short takeoff with RATO units? Don't know what the flyboys put in those rockets, but the exhaust is a brilliant magenta! And the angle of attack is wild.

Awesome sights! I was at Ramstein FAV in Germany1984 and saw a F16 do its thing at an airshow. "Oooooh, Ahhhhh!" Everyone said. It landed, the 130 took off. High G pitch up... roll left.... and would have turned inside the radius of the 16! Wow, those that were walking stoped and watch the Herky Bird finish.
I'm reminded of the joke that's been around on emails. The fighter zooms around the bigger bird. The pilot of the bigger bird says "Watch what I can do." Comes back a while later and states he walked to the head, washed his hands, and got a coffee.
