For the longest time my Quicksand Fantasies of my Quicksand Fantasy Gal had her sinking only thigh-deep. Then Pete Boggs expanded my appreciation of women stuck and sunk in quicksand breast-deep. So, that evolved to a period where I'd appreciate a damsel stuck and sunk in quicksand or deep mud maybe shoulder deep, but NO further. For a woman to sink further, say up to her neck, became a situation that meant she was going to drown in the morass and that bothered me a lot. I actually would NOT look at Quicksand Artwork, Photographs, or Videos where the gal sank to her neck and beyond as I hated the idea of her being harmed and taken from the world... then came Kristine Lynn...

When I purchased and watched Kaol's, Explorer 2, I watched as Kristine wandered around the mud sinking here and there until she finally got stuck in one spot and started sinking deeper and deeper. As she got neck-deep, I was becoming VERY BOTHERED and was about to stop the tape and throw it away... yet, something made me watch... and as she sank deeper with just her head above the mire, I wanted to stop the tape, but decided to hang in there a little longer, thinking that MAYBE she won't go under. Then suddenly she WENT UNDER... and, I found that to be one of the biggest turn-ons I'd felt since my first introduction to Quicksand Land... and, I must admit I wondered what the hell is up with me for enjoying that scene. Eventually, I found that a woman going under after a long, struggle-filled sink was rather enjoyable and very sexy, and no lady did that as good as Kristine.

Then with MPV's, Young Woman, Deep Mud, featuring Kristine in her "white bra and panties" sink, she set the bar to a new height with that outstandly long, struggle-fill, feminine grunt-filled sink in that incredibly thick mud, which eventually ended in a submersion that, in my opinion, topped her Explorer 2 performance! And, I, too, love the idea of a woman who is physically and mentally strong and tough getting stuck and sinking in quicksand or deep mud, and bravely, and futilely, fighting the mire to the end... something Kristine does so well with her "No Fear" attitude.

So, guess you could say I let my Dark Side prevail more and more, especially when it comes to melodramatic fantasy sinks featuring muscular, fearless, self-centered women who foolishly wander out into the marsh, tidal flats, or lake beds, get stuck and struggle with all their might to get free only to meet their demise in the mire... of course, that's my fantasy side... in the real world I'd be trying to find some way to rescue a woman trapped in such a sticky situation as quickly as possible.

Interesting thread!

If there's a dark side here, I want to be a stormtrooper.

being a soft vore lover first and a quicksand lover second. I prefer the grim endings.
Are you kidding me? being rescued from quicksand is so whimpy.
I understand both sides, but the grim endings are much more arousing to me.

I'd definitely have to say I'm on the dark side - kinda shows in my work, doesn't it??!!

A grim ending is the one I prefer, although I do shoot rescues. I had so wished that Vera Miles had a grim ending in her famous scene, which is one of my all-time favorites.

I tend to have grim scenes in most of my work, beyond quicksand, too - such as in my vore and spider web, not to mention buried in cement scenes. The extreme emotion is probably what interests me the most.

Kinda scary!! I'm a teddy bear in real life. :)

Am I the only person on here who likes quicksand without thinking that quicksand = sex?

As for light v dark - for me it's all about uncertainty. The cliff-hanger without the cliff. That moment where the victim dangles on a knife edge (copyright Mixed Metaphors R Us) between life and death, with no middle ground. Which is why, when people give away the ending before the story starts (eg by writing Grim...) I often don't bother even to start reading.

Power, on the other hand - that's another matter. If A is in the quicksand because B pushed them there - or if B has to decide whether or not A is worth rescuing: well, that can be quite interesting. From both points of view. Sort of. And it doesn't matter whether A wants to have sex with B or not. Usually.

Yes, for preference, let the sinker be an attractive young lady. I like attractive young ladies. But - rather a dramatic scene with an ugly guy than a lame one with a babe.

PS - Light thinks it's the fastest thing in the universe; but no matter how fast it travels it always finds that darkness got there first.

brother, you may not be the ONLY one who thinks along these lines, but I think you're an outlier

but as we read Outliers that makes you special

Thank-you. I think.

Sounds like something they should have on the Missing Words Round of HIGNFY.

Now, I admit that I'm as mad as a bucket of frogs, but this threw me. So I finally looked up "Outlier." Ah, a statistical anomaly. Since I did an A-level in Maths and Statistics I probably ought to have known this, but it appears to have gone, along with the ability to perform differential calculus.

But yep, that's me. An Outlier. Even amongst weird people, I'm weird.

First and foremost dark endings are fantasy. Grim endings are those I love best. 2nd is being rescued but then having to provide 'favors for my semi-white' knight. I stress the fantasy aspect and once clear most anything is possible from slow sinkings, to quick ones assisted by considerable weight chained to my ankles (to make sure my high fat content keeping me bouyant) is negated. Dark themes coupled with the fantasy of woman devouring plants with strong tentacles are part of the lost in the jungle/forest are great role plays for me. I never criticize others fantasy when it's adult based and doesn't include minors and torture. Those are BIG NO-NOs.
